The Speedwell stocks over one hundred different types of malt whisky which are all organised in terms of region and clearly labelled in their appropriate section for customers to see.  The range in fact takes up a whole side of the bar and is overwhelming to the eye.

Staff are well trained on the range of malts available and take pleasure in advising the customer.  If a customer is unsure of which whisky to sample, the staff are encouraged to ask questions such as “what mood are you in” and “are you out for a celebration or simply a quiet drink after work”.  This helps to identify the customers’ needs and preferences.  The staff do in fact have regular organised tasting sessions and visits from representatives to keep them well informed – excellent service and customer care is identified as being paramount to the whole “malt whisky experience” at The Speedwell.

A popular choice of malt in The Speedwell is Glenmorangie which features in the extensive range.  The Glenmorangie selection alone offers customers seven or eight varieties giving them the opportunity to sample various finishes (cask types) and years.

Should you not wish to sample one of our malts, we also offer a choice of many Scotch and Irish Whiskies such as Grouse, Bell's and Jamieson.
